About the Authors
Barbara Cox, Ph.D., and William Koelzer, CBC, APR, write from a practical foundation in real estate Internet marketing. Both have
built successful real estate and other Web sites, and they continue to direct the building and marketing of many more.
Barbara Cox earned her doctorate in education and psychology from Stanford University. Her professional life includes work as educator at college/university level, corporate trainer, and textbook author. She has directed the work of marketing departments, including strategic planning, market research, direct response marketing, and public communications. She is the principal of Cox Marketing Services.
Recently, as Director of Technology for the Orange County Association of Realtors® in California for 3 years, Dr. Cox established and directed the Technology Education Center. Among the 22 real estate technology courses she developed were DRE-approved Internet Marketing for Realtors® and Realtor® E-Mail How-To. She is author of The Language of Real Estate (Prentice Hall, 2001) and, with Jerry Cox and David Silver-Westrick, The Prentice Hall Dictionary of Real Estate.
William Koelzer applies more than 30 years of marketing experience to the creation of this work. He has owned his own marketing consulting and promotional firm, Koelzer & Associates, since 1979. He was Vice President of Cochrane Chase & Co., the largest full-service advertising agency in Orange County, California. Koelzer served major clients including Technicolor®, Carl’s Jr.™ restaurants, Dos Equis™ beer, Armor All™, and AMF Voit®. He is recipient of two PROTOS awards for “Outstanding Achievement,” from the Orange County Public Relations Society of America. Bill is a Web columnist for Realty Times and his articles appear in Real Estate ABC and Broker/Agent Magazine. Koelzer was Senior Editor of The Marketing Problem Solver (Chilton Book Co., 1974).
